There used to be a commercial on television in which a man told the audience that he was up to his eyeballs in debt. This is an expression that some of us have, regrettably, had to use at some point in our lives. The economy is not as great as any of us would like it to be, so we end up running into trouble from time to time. Everyone has difficulties and this is not something we should be ashamed of. The important thing to remember is that it is better to seek debt help early on than to wait until it is harder to fix the problem. The reason a lot of people wait is that they are embarassed. This is understandable, but it is also a crutch that you cannot lean on forever. You have to step up, admit that you are out of cash and ask for help if you ever want to recover.
